ECHAIR Hassan

Hassan Echair, born in 1964 in Rommani, trained at the School of Fine Arts in Tetouan then at the Regional School of Fine Arts in Amiens and Angers.

His works challenge the ephemeral and are at the crossroads of several paths: drawing, painting, sculpture and installation, thus giving them this aspect that is at once delicate, minimalist and subtle. Beyond these conventional means, Hassan Echair exploits a much wider range of supports and materials involving a diversity of technical procedures.

The artist’s works are entirely produced in black and white, respecting the spirit he wishes to give to his works, namely this dichotomy of light and shadow, of fullness and emptiness, in search of a perfect balance.

Since 1998, he exhibits regularly in Morocco, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Lebanon, Mali, Tunisia and the United States.
