Ilias Selfati

Ilias Selfati, born in 1967 in Tangier, is a Moroccan painter whose work is deeply inspired by nature, particularly the animal and aquatic worlds. He is known for his poetic depictions of marine creatures and fluid landscapes, blending abstraction and symbolism. Through his compositions, Selfati explores the relationship between humans and nature, capturing the wild energy and mysterious beauty of the oceans.
Educated at the School of Fine Arts in Tetouan and later at the National School of Fine Arts in Seville, Spain, Selfati developed a unique visual language, merging Mediterranean and Iberian influences.
