Mohammed Qannibou is a Moroccan painter born in 1967 in Taza, where he still resides.
He is renowned for his style of figurative abstraction, an artistic approach that blends figurative and abstract elements to create expressive and evocative works.
Throughout his career, Qannibou has participated in several notable exhibitions. In 2018, he showcased a series of works at the Bab El Kabir Gallery in the Kasbah of the Oudayas in Rabat, under the theme "States of the Body." This exhibition featured 55 pieces highlighting his distinctive technique focused on the human face and body. That same year, he exhibited at the headquarters of Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco, also in Rabat, with a collection entitled "Embracing the Body." These exhibitions allowed audiences to appreciate his ability to capture emotions and movements through spontaneous forms and colors.
Art critics have praised his work for its capacity to distill the state of the body into an imaginative interpretation, using lines and geometric shapes to convey profound feelings. His unique artistic approach continues to make a significant contribution to the contemporary Moroccan art scene.
