Mohamed Benhamza

Mohamed Benhamza is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oujda. Trained in fine arts in Oujda and at the Regional Pedagogical Center in Tangier, he divides his time between artistic creation and teaching. A member of the A-48 Art Network, he regularly exhibits in Morocco and abroad.

His work—spanning painting, sculpture, and drawing—explores themes of memory, heritage, and transformation through symbolic forms, particularly the Moroccan tarbouche, reimagined as an emblem of identity. With a refined and contemporary aesthetic, Benhamza’s art invites reflection on the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
